New Meetinghouse

The Detroit Friends Meeting possesses historical documents dating back to 1920.  Click on the picture of our old meetinghouse to read a Friends Journal article of our story of how we struggle to remain in the City.  Click on the picture below to read how Friends School in Detroit succumbed to financial pressures and was forced to close.  

Detroit Meetinghouse Story

This is a representation of the New Gordy Howe International Bridge.  The bridge will expand trade between the United States and Canada.  Our Meetinghouse was taken via eminent domain to create space for the bridge.
